(Al-Hajj) 22 : 46
أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَتَكُونَ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ يَعْقِلُونَ بِهَا أَوْ آذَانٌ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا ۖ فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَعْمَى الْأَبْصَارُ وَلَٰكِنْ تَعْمَى الْقُلُوبُ الَّتِي فِي الصُّدُورِ
Then don’t they travel through the earth? Don’t they have hearts for thinking and ears for hearing? Then indeed, it is not that their eyes are blinded, but their hearts in the chests are blinded.
This verse teaches that the heart is directly connected to sight and hearing. The Arabic Quran reading Fujjar are hiding and rejecting Adhikr which is the Food, Cloth, and Sight of the human soul. They will not see and hear about the Book Dhikree even though they have the faculty of hearing and sight. Since they forgot Lord, He has sealed their hearts and ears from understanding Adhikr as explained in verse 18: 57. See explanation 2: 6-7, 18, 170-171, and 16: 106-107.
